Ganikovsky Igor graduated from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys (1972). He lives and works in Bochum, Germany. He has been participating in Russian and international exhibitions since 1976. The personal exhibition of the artist was held in 1996 in Markisches Museum Witten, Witten, Germany.

In his almost abstract paintings Igor Ganikovsky uses intense color combinations and compositionally verified geometric forms. At the same time, the artist is characterized by an appeal to metaphysical and philosophical issues, religious symbolism, spiritual quest of man and his eternal values.
