Ivanov Sergey is a Russian painter and draftsman.

He was a graduator of the Moscow College of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture, a member of the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions (Peredvizhniki), and one of the founders of the Union of Artists of Russia.

The artworks of Ivanov regarded the great past of Russian folk and showed real historical events. So is the subject of the painting Defending Moscow from the Hordes of Khan Takhtamys, 26 August 1382.
