Bapishev Bakhyt is a Kazakhstani artist and, a member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He was born in Almaty. In 1979 he graduated from the Almaty art school and in 1986-1990 he studied at the Almaty State Theatre and Art Institute. In 1990 the artist participated in the International Paris Art Town in France. In 1990-1991 he participated in an international plain-air Art Summer in Castle Plüschow in Germany. In 1995 he became a student of Univerity Saint-Denis, one of 13 universities of Sorbonna. Having graduated from the university he obtained a doctorate in plastic arts.
Bapishev chooses stones as the main object of his paintings, inventing his mythology and creating a mesmerizing, still world frozen in anticipation of change. In the 80s, Bakhyt Bapishev tried to understand social processes in his work. One such work is the canvas Myocardial Infarction dedicated to the December events in 1986.
