Makhno Oleksandr is a painter, graphic artist, and a member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

He was born in Semipalatinsk and Graduated from K. Krupskaya Semipalatinsk Pedagogical Institute and Lviv Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts. Since the late 1990s, he had been working extensively and fruitfully in various types and genres of fine arts: painting, graphic art, sculpture, wall painting, and icon painting.

In his work, Oleksandr Makhno is an adherent of the technique of painting of the old masters, which is manifested in light and shadow solutions, elaboration and fine detail, and attention to detail. The master’s creations are distinguished by love and respect for his native land and the culture of the Kazakh people. This is, for example, the painting Aptapochki of the museum collection.
