An unusual watercolor technique combined with a space-themed educational quiz helps broaden children’s knowledge and stimulate their imagination.
“Fairy Tale Basket” (home puppet theater)
Beloved fairy tales come to life in a handmade puppet theater. Children create each character themselves and bring them together into a single group composition.
“Kazakh National Costume” (mixed media)
With bright visuals and characters from the tale Alpamys Batyr, children learn about Kazakh traditions and try their hand at fashion design—decorating traditional costumes for paper dolls.
“Paper Crafting” (introduction to origami)
Children are introduced to the art of origami, learning to create paper figures of varying complexity while developing fine motor skills and spatial thinking.
“Magic Patterns” (Kazakh ornament, applique technique)
Through the tale Oyu Khan and Zhoiu Khan, children discover the origins of Kazakh national ornamentation and participate in creating a traditional tuskiiz (traditional Kazakh ornamental wall hanging.) using the applique technique.
“Tili-Tili-Testo” (salt dough modeling)
A hands-on introduction to sculpture: children sculpt charming fairy tale characters and animals using colorful salt dough.
“Craquelure” (eggshell mosaic)
These sessions involve working with delicate materials like eggshells, small details, brushes, paints, paper, and fabric—helping develop fine motor skills.
“Floral Design” (nature-based panel art)
Children learn to appreciate the beauty in nature and everyday objects, creating decorative panels from flowers, leaves, and other natural materials.
“Dot, Dot, Comma” (pointillism technique)
This workshop introduces children to the art of pointillism, inspired by French painters. Participants create artwork using tiny dots, developing patience and attention to detail.
“Russian National Costume” (twisting technique)
Children dive into the history of Russian folk dress and, using the traditional “twisting” method, create fabric dolls inspired by ancient styles.
“Patchwork Wonder” (fabric applique)
Children are introduced to the origins of patchwork art. Using templates and fabric pieces, they craft unique textile compositions.
Each workshop includes multimedia slide presentations.
