Togysbayev Tokbulat is a painter, a member of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan since 1967, and the Honoured Art Worker of KazSSR since 1998.
He was born in Ontustuk aul (a Kazakh village) of the Georgievsky district of the Chimkent region. In 1965 he graduated from the Academy of Arts named after N.V. Gogol, the workshop of M.S. Kenbaev, who lived and worked in Almaty. He has been a participant in exhibitions since 1967.
The artist’s paintings are a fusion of the best of easel painting, monumental and decorative applied art, and the traditions of Eastern and Western cultures. In the collection of the museum, the artist is represented by the work A Bride (the central part of the triptych «Kyu of 41»).
