Roman Bobrovsky is a representative of the generation of Kazakhstani artists of the late 1080s – beginning 1990s, the generation that radically dissociated itself from the legacy of the Soviet tradition. Being an adherent of sign-metaphorical painting, he also tries himself in the forms of naive art. His works are marked with a special symbolism of images, multiple meanings, and a light, positive, and trusting worldview. Such is the work A Bird of the museum collection.
