Narymbetov Moldakul is a painter, sculptor, author of objects, installations, and performances, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.

He was born in the village of Glaba-Sai, South Kazakhstan region and graduated from the Tashkent Art School named after P.P. Benkov in 1974, art-graphic faculty of Kazakh State Pedagogical Institute named after Abai in 1990 and was an active participant in the city, republican, international exhibitions, and projects.

Moldakul Narymbetov managed to find and vividly express his artistic identity. He enhances the artistic style by simplifying it and using bold, assured, occasionally emotive brushstrokes. Narymbetov emphasizes colour, shape, and space. His painting is sensuous, and notable for thin coloristic intelligence. An example of it can be the work A Landscape with a Tree from the museum collection.
