The Patriot’s Test

Intellectual game in the halls of the Local Fine Arts Museum in the name of Nevzorov Family

The day of the Republic of Kazakhstan will soon be celebrated across the country. And the museum will celebrate this holiday by hosting some cultural events. Those will be the exhibition Living Colors of the Irtysh River, and the intellectual game The Patriotism Test for the members of the regional study club “Uly Dala” from our city’s Electric Engineering College.

“Let’s talk about Kazakhstan’s History”, “Let’s talk about culture”, “Let’s talk about customs and traditions” … — and all this in the museum halls, featuring illustrated examples, but for the most part with example works of Kazakh painters.

Various tasks, mixed with theoretical information on Kazakhstan’s history, culture, and traditions, made the game exciting and enlightening. What does the “Declaration of Kazakh USSR’s National Sovereignty” mean, when was it accepted and what did it propose? How the traditions and history were reflected in the art of Kazakh painters? These topics, and many more were explored during the game, and the “Uly Dala” regional study club participants were excitedly looking for answers, solving puzzles of paintings, and studying the works in the museum halls.

Time flew by. People were left with lively impressions and had their “piggy banks of knowledge” replenished. Our holiday was a success!

Happy upcoming Republic of Kazakhstan Day, our fellow citizens!
